Here at Great Bear Golf Club, we always appreciate hearing when we’ve satisfied a member or guest in a particular way. But rest assured that we don’t let the kind words go to our heads.
If you ever encounter a problem here, or something doesn’t occur just the way you expected, please tell us. Otherwise we can’t make it good for you.

“What a jewel of a golf course. I’ve played here numerous times. Great Bear is a must play for any golfer in the NY metro area. The varying sets of tees will provide both challenge and fun. Playing from the tips, the course stretches to just about 7,000 yards and really forces you to hit the ball well off the tee. The 3rd, 10th and 14th are monster shots from the tee. The greens ‘bear’ the Nicklaus design stamp. They are large yet often kidney shaped forcing you to set up your approach into them. The course has never been crowded and no round I have ever played there has taken longer than four and one-half hours. The staff is friendly and welcoming and the food in the downstairs grill is good and very, very fairly priced. You can sit and dine on the patio which overlooks the 18th green which is a wonderful Par-5 finishing hole. The new management group is very smart in opening this back up for public play. In the end, if you enjoy a good, solid golf course, in excellent shape, in a beautiful setting, then Great Bear has all of that and more.”

Everything at Great Bear was perfect for our daughter’s wedding. Jamie was a pleasure to work with. Even when our buses arrived late, Jamie and the staff at GB did an amazing job seeing that all ran smooth! We also loved it here, because we were the only wedding at this venue. Everyone is a 100% focused on making your wedding a success. And they were so flexible, the week before our wedding we decided to move the ceremony indoors, because we thought it would be too cold outside, and they totally accommodated and set it up indoors and it was just beautiful!! All in all, the value for the money you spend at Great Bear, is better than anywhere else in the area. And unlike other venues, they have great outdoor and indoor options for the ceremony, which was very important to us, since we were getting married in November. So overall, I 100% recommend Great Bear and working with Jamie, the best wedding coordinator of all the ones I encountered in my venue search. Everything was great! I could have not asked for a better venue nor people to work with. Jaime was great from the beginning of our planning to the end of our night. Throughout the planning Jaime was always available for questions and responded back quickly and she was also very patient! The staff the day of the wedding was exceptional and the food was amazing.
