At 350 yards long with more than one full acre of teeing area spread over four large tee decks, the range at Great Bear is enjoyed by all level golfers.
A section of turf mats allows use of the range in all weather conditions. Yardage markers on the tee decks correspond to target flags located on the Range.
The practice area includes a green as well as a bunker for working on those shots, even if we all hope to avoid those. There’s also a chipping area to work on your short game.
We all know how frustrating it is to spend countless hours practicing and still fail to achieve long-term improvement. Improvement can only occur when you understand how to practice productively.

Our instruction program covers all aspects of the game — from full swing, putting, chipping, pitching, bunker play, trouble shots, to working on your pre-shot routine and course management.
Individual lessons for adults are either one hour or 30 minutes in length and should be booked as far in advance as possible.
Juniors are the future of the game of golf and we here at Great Bear cherish the opportunity to work with our youth golfers.

We’ll try to keep you out of the bunkers and rough! On-course instruction is highly recommended. Our staff believes it’s essential to observe your progress in a real-life situation. Fee for playing lessons vary based on the length of time scheduled.
